Since October 2008 the Traunstein Health Resort has been offering a range of treatments and regeneration in the unspoilt countryside of the Waldviertel.. The newly built four-star hotel comprising 34 double rooms, two apartments, a panorama restaurant and a bar is surrounded by fields, woods and bizarre rock formations. The underground car park can accommodate 170 cars.

State-approved specialists, experienced medical staff and well-trained therapists provide a wide variety of treatments which, combined with state-of-the-art equipment, guarantee medical success. The unique diversity of treatments is complemented by the cosy four-star comfort of the hotel with its attractive rooms and suites, generous range of wellness treatments and first-class cuisine.

Guests can choose from more than one hundred different therapy treatments over an area of 2,650 m². The availability of natural remedies influences the range on offer: natural healing earth and Fango treatments are a focal point complemented by the spacious wellness area offering a wide variety of relaxation methods including saunas and steam baths, infrared cabins, whirlpools, indoor swimming pool and a 445m² outdoor heated swimming pool. This temple of health and well-being in the idyllic granite village of Traunstein plays an important role in bolstering the image of the Waldviertel as a region dedicated to health and well-being.
