There is one protected area after the other in the north of the Waldviertel. Each of the eight nature parks has its own particular character so it is up to you whether you choose to enjoy the moorlands or the gentle countryside beside the River Kamp with its attractive vineyards. If you are a skier, the Jauerling Nature Park can be recommended in winter.
