Details for: Cross-country skiing on the Nordwald trails Karlstift/Bad Großpertholz - connecting trail to Siebenhöf
Brief description
Between the villages of Karlstift and Liebenau is the famous raised bog "Große Heide" where cross-country skiers will find a network of varied trails. Almost everywhere there is a double track as well as a skating track.
Description
Cross-country skiing is one of the healthy movements, as it involves gentle joint motions. Whether a casual skier or hobby athlete, there is something suitable for everyone here. The start and finish are at the sports field, where you can also park your car. Additional entry points are at the Zeller guesthouse and the Aichelberglifts, where parking is also available. For beginners, the easy meadow trail (2 km) is well suited as an entry trail - it is prepared both classic (C) and for skaters (S). Those who have too little time during the day can also use it in the evening as a floodlit trail until 10 p.m. The pond trail (7 km / C+S) and the Trift trail (8 km / C) invite you around the Stierhübelteich to pause and enjoy nature. Furthermore, the high plateau is connected by linking trails to Siebenhöf (9 km) and Liebenau (12 km). Here, Nordic cruisers as well as sporty amateurs will find their challenge, as these trails are connected with the other trail areas of Aktivwelt Freiwald.
