The municipality of Gföhl lies to the north-east of the Krems Valley ("Kremstal" in German) in the district of Krems-Land. The municipal area comprises 18 cadastral communities. Today, the town offers unspoilt landscapes and family-friendly accommodation - for vacations close to nature, entertaining excursions or vacations with the whole family.

Whether you prefer the cozy Heurigenstube or the Schanigarten - numerous restaurants in our municipality offer a wide and varied range of culinary delights.

Numerous listed buildings and magnificent buildings characterize the municipality of Gföhl - from the former Gasthof Edhofer with its centuries-old core (today's town hall) to the baroque parish church of St. Andrew and historic chapels in the villages, such as the Rosalia Chapel.
