Description
The market town of Großgöttfritz, located in the heart of the Zwettl district and thus of the Waldviertel, covers an area of 40.11 km2 with 1590 inhabitants in 390 houses. The large municipality consists of 8 cadastral communities.
Recreation seekers and guests can not only visit our sights such as the church and charnel house as well as 7 lovely village chapels, but also find wonderful hiking opportunities, soccer pitches and children's playgrounds as well as an outdoor swimming pool and tennis and asphalt curling courts in the municipality. The main attractions of the municipality are the viewing platform on the 811-metre-high Auberg, the Hohe Stein with summit cross on the Kamp and the Robotstein erected to commemorate the liberation of the peasants.
