Jaidhof
Description
The municipality of Jaidhof lies at an altitude of 470 to 610 m above sea level and consists of five cadastral communities. On an area of 44.9 km² live 1,220 inhabitants (as of 2022 in two villages, Jaidhof and Eisengraben and three offices, Eisenbergeramt, Eisengraberamt and Schiltingeramt.
The village of Jaidhof is characterized by Jaidhof Castle and the buildings of the Gutmann estate. The castle is owned by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X. The owner of the Jaidhof estate, Dr. Guntard Gutmann, has extensively renovated the buildings in recent years with great financial resources and put them to contemporary use.
The "Altes Eishaus" museum displays the various trades of an estate as well as private exterior and interior views of the castle. The collection contains interesting facts from times long past about the life of the rural population and the manor.
The recreational pond with beach volleyball court and playground is open to the public.
