Details for: Kreuzbergpanoramaweg with Höllgraben

Brief description

The Kreuzbergpanoramaweg (No. 62) leads you over the highest elevation of Eisgarn, the Kreuzberg, to Klein-Radischen, passing the rock formation “Höllgraben.”

Description

The circular hiking trail leads past the wooden bell tower through the forest to the Kreuzberg, the highest elevation of Eisgarn. This route offers repeated beautiful views of the hilly landscape. Through Klein-Radischen, the smallest cadastral community of Eisgarn, you walk along a lightly trafficked road and eventually reach a path leading to the “Höllgraben.” The Höllgraben is reached via a meadow section and is led through this interesting rocky area on a beaten path with some small wooden bridges, then you return to the path at another point. Past the idyllic Freitagteich you return to Eisgarn, passing the inn “zur Alten Post” and finally the church, which is definitely worth a visit....

Route description Kreuzbergpanoramaweg with Höllgraben

You start at the market square in Eisgarn towards the bell tower to the Kreuzbergweg, walk through the forest, turn left at the crossroads and pass a rest area with wide views to Klein-Radischen. Towards Eisgarn, you turn right into a path. The detour to the Höllgraben, located 200 m to the side, which you can cross after passing a short meadow section on a well-signposted beaten path, is definitely worth it. Over two more wooden bridges you reach the Freitagteich, keep left and return to Eisgarn.
