Moorbad Harbach

The municipality of Moorbad Harbach is nestled in the valley between the local mountains Nebelstein (1,017 m) and Mandelstein (874 m) at an altitude of around 630 to 900 meters above sea level.

The resorts of Harbach, Hirschenwies, Lauterbach, Maißen, Wultschau and Schwarzau make it possible for guests and vacationers, but above all for locals and employees of all businesses in the community to live, work and vacation in an intact environment.

The pure, clean, fresh air and the varied and unique landscape greatly increase well-being and make a major contribution to health. The farmers and foresters are the caretakers of this unique landscape.

Moorbad Harbach has been awarded the Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality as a hiking village since January 2016 - and rightly so! You will find around 100 km of beautiful and well-maintained hiking trails, running and Nordic walking routes that meander through the entire municipal area, through natural forests. They give you incomparable contact with the untouched Waldviertel landscape, inviting you to enjoy, take a deep breath, slow down and relax.
