The municipality of Rappottenstein is located off the beaten track in the center of the Waldviertel. Many say that the Waldviertel really begins here. The municipality is made up of 4 main villages, namely Rappottenstein, Kirchbach, Roiten and Pehendorf, as well as 16 smaller hamlets. Despite this extensive size, there is still a healthy infrastructure. It is precisely this fact that makes our municipality so attractive. The diverse landscape, such as extensive forests, lush meadows and fields, healthy streams, deep gorges and beautiful views, offers everything that makes life worth living.
