Röhrenbach

Description

The small municipality of Röhrenbach extends over an area of 25.11 km² on the western edge of the Horn district, adjacent to the Allentsteig military training area. The municipality lies 445 meters above sea level and has 603 inhabitants. The cadastral communities of Röhrenbach are Feinfeld, Germanns, Gobelsdorf, Greillenstein, Neubau, Röhrenbach, Tautendorf and Winkl.

The small municipality of Röhrenbach has Greillenstein Castle as an interesting tourist attraction.

Greillenstein Castle was built in 1570-1590 in the Renaissance style and has remained largely unchanged. Special features of Greillenstein are the courtroom and the baroque dwarfs. Right next to the castle, in a former building of the castle, is the municipal office and the restaurant "GMOA" (leased by Elisabeth Humburger), which was built by the municipality. The "GMOA" inn serves home-style cooking and a tastefully renovated hall with a capacity of 300 people is also ideal for larger celebrations.
