Schlossweingut Wittmann
Description
At Schlossweingut Wittmann, passion and flair come together in a creative way. Here, viticulture is seen as an art form in which careful vineyard management throughout the year and the carefully chosen harvest time are just as important as the natural development of the wine. With a cultivation area of 12 hectares and an annual production of 40,000 bottles, the winery offers an impressive variety. The distribution of varieties is 51% white wine and 49% red wine, with Grüne Veltliner accounting for 40% of total production. A special feature of Schlossweingut Wittmann is the "Muchisch-Weiße" Grüner Veltliner vine, which has been self-selected for three generations and provides the starting material for the particularly regionally typical and high-quality Grüne Veltliner. Another highlight is the tasting room under old vaults at the entrance to the cellar, which offers a wonderful view of the moated castle and the castle courtyard. A visit to Schlossweingut Wittmann is an unforgettable experience for anyone who enjoys wine to the full.
