Brief description

Hiking trail No. 6 in Harmanschlag

Description

The natural monument of the Warzenstein, located on the southeast slope of the Bärenstein, irresistibly captivates every visitor. Far from any human dwelling, in the middle of a rocky natural theater, there is a stone natural basin that is constantly filled with water. Not only the power attributed to the water in the basin to remove warts makes this place interesting; the entire location and arrangement of the stones may evoke thoughts of a place for cultic practices of an archaic culture.
