The owl is the unmistakable symbol of the traditional Langenlois business. Even in ancient cultures, it was regarded as a symbol of wisdom, calm and constancy and opened up those hidden worlds to people that lay beyond the tangible. An idea that still characterizes the family's work today. Now in its fifth generation, the family is guarding a valuable legacy of old vineyards scattered across some of the most important vineyard sites in Kamp Valley ("Kamptal" in German). For many decades, the Hiedlers have carefully tended the historic cultural landscape by hand, sustainably and intelligently. It is the particularly close relationship with nature, the experience gained since 1856 and the attention to detail that give rise to very personal wines.
