Angushof Anderl
Description
Angus beef specialties and a garden paradise - everything is organic at Sandra and Manfred Anderl!
It is the pinnacle of beef taste: Angus cattle are characterized by a tender, fine-fibred meat with a digestible marbling. At Angushof Anderl, it is offered as a 5 kg mixed package and refined into raw ham, salami and "Bergwurzen". But it's not just the taste buds that blossom here: The "blooming slopes" around the farm are also highly worth seeing!
Around 50 Angus cattle graze on the organically farmed Angushof Anderl in Harmanschlag from May to October and enjoy the best organic feed throughout the winter. The meat from the genetically hornless animals has long been a delicacy in the local top gastronomy and a culinary "secret weapon" in the hunt for toques and stars. It's just as well that thanks to Sandra and Manfred Anderl, you can now reach for the stars in your own kitchen: Be it a beef stew, a goulash, schnitzel or a beef soup - the "mixed package" from Angushof Anderl contains numerous treasures of traditional and modern cuisine. This is available directly from the farm if ordered in advance by telephone.
Specialties from Angus beef
Of course, the Anderl family also knows how to refine the special meat from their Angus cattle: The sausage specialties such as mountain sausages, cabanossi or the mildly spicy salami as well as the aromatic raw ham in their farm store, which is open to beef gourmets every Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon, are proof of this. Even "die-hard non-cooks" can conjure up an unforgettable dish at their own stove with the goulash and beef stew in a jar and also treat themselves to the farm's own juices, jams and liqueurs. Regardless of whether you treat yourself to a "mixed package" or a ready-made meal during a visit to this innovative organic farm, you should definitely make time for one of the most beautiful hillside gardens in Lower Austria. For a relaxing walk through the 4,000 m² hillside garden, a blooming paradise with tranquil paths and impressive granite rocks. The "Hanging Gardens of Semiramis" may have been a wonder of the world - but the Anderl family's garden is a true Waldviertel wonder!
