Description
It is the stories ...
... that evoke memories and bring the past to life.
That's why the charm of our museum also lies in the stories and "G'schtln" you hear during the guided tour. Many of our visitors still remember the arduous work in the forest - without trucks and harvesters. They remember many of the exhibits from their youth and childhood, but this time - and often nature - is foreign to younger generations. They get an impression of life in and with nature. They learn that everything takes time in the forest and that you have to plan ahead. It is not for nothing that the term "sustainability" was coined in forestry (18th century). Christian Morgenstern captured this different measure of time in a wonderfully funny way in his poem "Two Roots" - knig knag.
