Kanzlerturm

The Chancellor's Tower is the third large fortified tower and marks the north-western corner of the city. It is possible to climb up to the top of the wall and a reconstruction of the battlements gives visitors the opportunity to view embrasures from close up. Slit embrasures and gun embrasures have been preserved as "keyholes". The Chancellor's Tower can also be visited by prior appointment. Inside there is an exhibition of the Privileged Uniformed Citizens' Corps of Eggenburg. Every year, the large meadow protected by the wall provides an atmospheric setting for the Moonlight Cinema, the Medieval Festival and other events.
