Wäschepflegemuseum Schönbach

In April 2017, the laundry museum was opened in Schönbach and presents wooden washing machines and irons from the previous century! Experience the progress in laundry care from laborious boiling and washing in troughs and streams to modern electronically controlled washing machines.

From 1996 to 2008, the museum was located in Rainbach im Mühlviertel and was managed by Dir. Helmut Knogler and his team expertly collected, set up and scientifically processed. This exhibition is now being shown again in the Schönbach community center and has moved from the Mühlviertel to the Waldviertel to shine in new splendor.Countless exhibits, from the rotary ironer to bleaching techniques, soaps and detergents, from historical irons to the modern ironing station, pulsator, wave wheel and well-known drum washing machines can be seen there.
