Café Maria Theresia

Café Maria Theresia is a traditional family café in the heart of Maria Taferl on the edge of the Wachau. It combines the atmosphere of a Viennese coffee house with the cozy wine culture of the Wachau. It is particularly famous for its homemade pastries and handmade ice cream. The café's motto is: "Nothing comes off the conveyor belt, everything is baked with heart and hand!". It offers a beautiful flower terrace with a view of the basilica.

A special tip is the Waldviertel poppy seed ice cream with fresh poppy seed strudel from the in-house bakery - a real treat.
