Description

The first Top Host winner of the Lower Austrian Wirtshauskultur is not an insider tip. Erwin Schwarz's reputation was and still is too good, and his authentic cuisine leaves a strong impression on guests. The inn in Nöhagen in the district of Krems is known far beyond the region and is one of the top addresses in the Waldviertel. The stuffed breast of veal is highly recommended, while the smoked trout with dill and mustard sauce embodies the excellent and authentic cuisine line in equal measure. The fillet of beef is tender and is often served seasonally with chanterelle noodles. The roast pork from the wood-fired oven is also unbeatable.

The Schwarz family's promise of quality

Pampered by the extremely charming service and accompanied by a rarely extensive selection of top wines, guests at Gasthaus Schwarz enjoy a wonderful overall package. The business has been family-owned since 1917. The rooms in the restaurant, ballroom and conservatory are bright and furnished in a country house style. A traditional establishment that moves with the times. However, the Schwarz family has always remained true to one thing: Only fresh and regional products go into the pan. Most of these are home-grown, such as the potatoes that form the basis for the delicious dumpling dishes. The desserts - especially the cream slice with raspberry sorbet - provide an all-round successful finish.
