Welcome to the Hotel-Restaurant Hausschachen, surrounded by beautiful nature, directly on the banks of the Hausschachen pond. Embedded in the carefully maintained golf course.

The special thing about the Weitra golf course, apart from the perfect greens of the challenging and varied course, is certainly the fantastic view of Weitra Castle and the nostalgic Waldviertel narrow-gauge railroad passing by.

But there is also a lot on offer around the golf course: the hotel's own sunbathing lawn with the impressive Hausschachen natural bathing pond, or the beach volleyball court, the street soccer pitch, the idyllic hiking trails, running and mountain bike routes all around and, last but not least, the historic old town of Weitra, which provide for a varied break.

Modern design with luxurious comfort is what our guests will find in our hotel. The 30 feel-good rooms in three different categories with fantastic views of either the Renaissance Schloss Weitra, the Hausschachen pond or the golf range ensure the perfect stay to switch off and recharge your batteries. Sustainability runs through all areas of the Hausschachen. The greens are mowed with electric mowers and a large part of the electricity is self-generated thanks to the 58 KW photovoltaic system.

Regional ingredients are processed with love, creativity and skill. Dishes made from seasonal produce change every month, ensuring plenty of variety. For a pleasant end to the evening, the HotShots Bar offers a variety of international drinks and cocktails.

The relaxed and pleasant ambience at Hausschachen is the perfect setting for any celebration. Not only can the restaurant be booked for weddings, you can also celebrate your civil wedding directly on the jetty. We will be happy to take care of the planning and implementation for you.
