In June 2023, we opened our offer for a farm vacation of an extraordinary kind: with us, you can spend the night in the middle of nature in a rustic and spacious wooden barrel. You will be amazed at how big and spacious the barrels are inside - and how cozy!

Our farm is a typical Waldviertel farm that was run as a dairy farm until just over 10 years ago and was leased out after the retirement of the parents.

After several years in the car industry - most recently as managing director of several car dealerships - and as a self-employed occupational therapist, we decided in 2020 to change our previous lives and build a new existence on our parents' farm. We have been living here with our parents (Andreas') and our 3 daughters since 2021 and are reactivating our wonderful farm step by step.

After completing our training as skilled agricultural workers, we currently farm 1/3 of our 15 hectares of land organically for horse husbandry, have been offering our special sleeping barrels for farm vacations since June 23 and are currently doing the Greencare training courses "Health Promotion on the Farm" and "Animal Assisted Intervention" and will soon be able to expand our offer for our guests.

We pay particular attention to sustainability and mindfulness towards ourselves, our family, our animals and nature.

Of course, we only want the best for our guests: We pay attention to regionality in our breakfast offer and bring a basket with selected delicacies to your barrel at the desired time.We also do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, as exciting as possible or as impressive as possible. With us you make MORE - OUT - TIME.

Our sleeping or living barrel, sometimes also called camping barrel

An exceptional sleeping experience awaits you in a comfortable wooden barrel made of solid pine for 2 adults and 2 children. In addition to high-quality mattresses, pillows and blankets including bed linen, our camping barrels with around 8m² of living space are also equipped with a modern infrared heater with room thermostat. Of course, there are also lights and sockets. The 4.5 m long barrel has a sleeping area of 2x2 meters, the benches in the entrance area can be converted into 2 beds, each 80 cm wide and over 2 m long, and the table can be completely lowered. This means there is enough space for a family of 4 in 4 beds.

Our barrels are located in a peaceful setting on the edge of a small Waldviertel village, surrounded by beautiful countryside and in the immediate vicinity of our horses and goats. Right next to the barrels there is a campfire site and a barbecue area. There is plenty of space for deckchairs, tents, caravans or camper vans on a large lawn.

The lovingly renovated barn has high-quality heated sanitary facilities with walk-in showers, dishwashing facilities, a washing machine and toilets for men and women. If desired, we can also provide thermal bathrobes!
The organic breakfast is served in a picnic basket in front of the barrel, depending on the desired time.
In the surrounding area there are numerous extensive hiking trails in an extremely well-developed hiking network. The Ottenstein reservoir, Waldland, Sonnentor, several monastery ponds and the beautiful town of Zwettl are just a few kilometers away.

• 1st and 2nd night 70,- each
• from 3 nights 65,- each
• Weekly price (7 nights) 60,- each

• One child up to 6 years in parents' bed free of charge (without additional bed linen)

We deliver the organic breakfast in a picnic basket including a hot drink to your sleeping barrel at the desired time from 10,- per person.

Breakfast for children up to 2 years is free of charge, from 2 to 6: Euro 5,- each.

Payment is possible in cash or by bank transfer. We also accept payment via Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano etc.
