Our ranch ...
... is located in the northern Waldviertel at the foot of the Kollmitzberg and has been family-owned since the 18th century. I started renovating the ranch in 2015 and was able to move in with my horses in 2017. Elisabeth has been at my side since 2019 and, in addition to designing our own home, we are continuing to expand the ranch together with great passion. As we also own Appaloosa horses and are very close to nature, I felt the need to choose a Native American name for our ranch. Els-kwatawa means "The Visitor" and we welcome everyone who is looking for and appreciates something special - both human and horse.
Our ranch offers our horses a large open stable with huge pastures and small woods. In the interests of species-appropriate feeding, they also have access to hay suitable for horses in covered hayracks at all times. Our guest horses (course participants, trail riders, ...) rest in the newly built guest boxes with sawdust and hay. Pasture use is possible by arrangement.
A riding arena measuring 30m x 50m and a round pen with a diameter of 28m are available for our wide range of courses (exclusively with your own horse).
The area immediately surrounding the ranch offers unlimited cycling, hiking and riding opportunities (exclusively guided & with your own horse) in a beautiful, hilly forest and meadow landscape for relaxation in harmony with nature. But also those interested in culture and adventure seekers will not miss out. For the e-bike riders among our guests there is the possibility to charge them free of charge and to store the bikes safely.
Spend the night at the ranch ...
... you can either stay in a double room, in a shared room or in our bunkhouse. The bunkhouse is a furnished wooden hut with two separate bedrooms and its own veranda for relaxing and with a beautiful view of the ranch grounds. Both are located directly on one of our pastures and are in the immediate vicinity of the ranch and the Ranch-Stüberl, where the sanitary facilities are also located. Our Ranch Cabin, a vacation apartment with its own bathroom and small kitchen, is also available for you.
Our Ranch-Stüberl - incl. Cowboy Lounge - is equipped with a kitchen (cutlery, crockery, ...), a small bathroom with shower and WC and is shared. The beds are covered, please bring your own towels, but we can also provide them if necessary. You must also bring your own slippers. The products of our ranch breakfast come from local organic farms of high quality and are freely selectable from the ranch kitchen.

Arrival and departure times...
... are from 2 pm on the day of arrival. Arrival after 8 pm is only possible by telephone arrangement. Departure must take place by 10 a.m. at the latest on the day of departure.
