Skiing in the Waldviertel

On your skis, get set, go!

The ski resorts in the Waldviertel may be small in size but they are truly grand places to have fun. They are especially suitable for children and novices, but adults will also have a blast on the slopes.

The Waldviertel is a great place to practice the Austrians’ favorite winter sport. Karlstift has three tow lifts that take visitors to the slopes, which are a total length of five kilometers. Harmschlag and Kirchbach also invite guests to enjoy extensive days of skiing fun and even have floodlights for evening skiing.
Ski Arena am Jauerling near Oberndorf is an inside tip for ambitious skiers and snowboarders not only for its floodlights but also for Jauliland, a theme park geared to young children.
