Route description Panorama path Bad Traunstein No. 53

This challenging path leads to the west of the municipality of Bad Traunstein. You roam extensively through the wonderful landscape – fairy-tale beautiful views show the diversity of the Bad Traunstein surroundings. From Anschaumühle, the route is concurrent with the “Feel Good!” hiking trail Route 2. You start from the car park at the elementary school and pass by the market fountain to the sports field. There you turn left onto the field path towards Weidenegg. You follow the forest path to the right to Wiegenstein (approx. 1.9 km). The path then leads over Überländ, Prettles, Buchegg to Stein (approx. 6.8 km, 2.15 h walking time). Here you have the opportunity to refresh yourself at the Teuschl inn. Full of energy, you now hike over Mühlberg to Anschaumühle – here the path crosses the North-South long-distance hiking trail 05 –, further through Blättergraben over Hengstberg (small hill) and Haberegg and always follow the signs back to Bad Traunstein.
