Route description Pond route Ottenschlag, "Feel Good" hiking trail

You start from Cafe Einsiedl and go along Neuhofstraße to the road maintenance yard. Here you cross the road and hike along the forest path. You pass the species protection wall and follow the signs to the Lyrikweg junction. After 2.3 kilometers you have the option to turn off to Mohnhof Greßl (about 1 km). You continue marching through the forest until you reach the former railway crossing in Neuhof and turn left to Dachsberg and the Himmelteich pond. Now you turn right to Weyrerteich pond and go through the viaduct to the right until you reach L78. Here you cross the state road and go left towards Hacklhof. Finally, you return through the Haltergraben to the starting point.

Parking is available at Cafe Einsiedl.

Equipment

Sturdy footwear, functional clothing, sun and rain protection, map material, if necessary telescopic poles, first aid kit (blister plasters), sufficient provisions (snack, muesli bars, fruit, water).
