Meridianstein bei Siebenlinden

Description

The meridian stone of Siebenlinden was designed by local artist Prof. Willi Engelmayer in 1992 as the keystone for the extensive road expansion program of the market town of Schweiggers. Seven vertically arranged holes in the stone form a gap through which the exact course of the 15th meridian east of Greenwich can be observed over a distance of more than 20 km as the crow flies.
