Description

It is no longer a secret that the Braunegger-Hof in the southern Waldviertel region serves traditional, home-style pub food. The two innkeepers Sonja and Erhard Mayer put all their heart and soul into running the inn. The result is gourmet cuisine at its best. The roast pork from the wood-fired oven or the perfectly roasted ribs are characteristic of the establishment. The game specialties are a seasonal hit. Fish and vegetarian dishes as well as homemade pastries round off the menu. The high quality is no coincidence: the restaurant works closely with meat and vegetable producers from the region. The range of wines and beers is also predominantly influenced by the Waldviertel.

Pork and game specialties

The Mayer family has been serving good food and drink since 2003, and the cuisine at the Braunegger-Hof has remained at a consistently high level ever since. The small but lovingly designed terrace, directly in front of the entrance gate, immediately catches the eye. If there is no space available, the rustic but very friendly dining room, the guest room and the cellar parlor are available inside. The inn is also ideal for a hike to the barrier-free Braunegg viewing platform. Tip: The Braunegger-Hof has comfortably furnished rooms for a restful night's sleep.
