Gasthaus zur Goldenen Rose
This business is excellent…
Description
Friends of hops and malt should now pay close attention. A beer fountain characterizes the entrance area of the Gasthaus zur Goldenen Rose. A refreshing Zwettler beer is freshly tapped. That's all it takes. The mood barometer rises. In landlord Michael Schindler's stylish inn, the liquid gold is respected and perfectly presented. But it is the excellent cuisine that makes an impression on guests. Simple, refined and authentic: these are the dishes at the Goldene Rose. The Waldviertel is omnipresent here. The roast pork with Waldviertel potato dumplings and bacon and cabbage salad is 100% locally sourced. Fans of vegetarian cuisine will also find what they are looking for: The spinach risotto with fresh baby spinach, cherry tomatoes and parmesan potato chips is delicious.
From the guest garden to the old town
Among the houses on Dreifaltigkeitsplatz in Zwettl, the "Zur Goldenen Rose" inn plays a special role. The façade is characterized by three architectural styles (Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque) that have merged into one. But it is also the sunny guest garden on the main square with around 70 seats that catches the eye. An oasis of well-being in the middle of the main square. The service staff are courteous and adapt to the respective circumstances. From an uncomplicated lunch menu to a 5-course dinner - at the "Goldene Rose", the guest is king. What else speaks for the inn? The location, which makes a comfortable trip to the old town of Zwettl possible.
