Route description Thayatalweg 630 - 7th stage: Dobersberg - Karlstein

We start at the church in Dobersberg and follow the markers past the inn Barta, then through a short forest section to Lexnitz. The small village is crossed and along a farm road, crossing the railway line again, we reach Radlmühle. There is a sign on the railing of the Thaya valley bridge indicating the midpoint of the hiking trail. Those walking the entire route from Nebelstein to Retz have already completed half of it here. Along a low-traffic road, you reach Schuppertholz, where the path turns left onto a field path. Back on a road, you arrive at the next village, Hohenwarth, with the Gerhartsmühle mill. Before the Thaya river, a path goes right through a ditch and on field paths to the Karlstein sports ground, along which the path runs. At the end of the sports ground, there is a left-right loop over a small footbridge to Karlstein.
